Why does the galvanized steel wire rope have broken wires ?
The wire rope may break during daily use. The specific reasons may be as follows. Why do galvanized steel wire ropes break?
1. Kink and break the wire. This kind of broken wire rarely occurs in normal use, and only occurs when the wire rope slackens and causes kinks. The fracture shape is flat and smooth.
2. Overload broken wire. When the elevator wire rope is subjected to overload load or impact load, the fracture shows a cup-shaped plastic shrinkage. Due to the large safety factor of the elevator wire rope, such broken wires are rare.
3. Corrosion and broken wire. Severely corroded. The fracture is not neat, and it is in the shape of a drill tip.
4. Fatigue break out. The outer steel wire that appears on the largest side of the bending procedure of the strand is broken due to metal fatigue, and the shape of the fracture is flush.
5. Cut the broken wire. It is caused by hard pulling or being hit or squeezed by a large external force. The fracture is sheared.
