The inner wire of the surface contact rope has a special shape, and the steel wire with special-shaped section is used, and the steel wire is in surface contact. Its advantages are smooth appearance, good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and can withstand large lateral forces; but it is expensive, so it can only be used in special occasions.
The selection of steel wire ropes must meet sufficient bearing capacity and life requirements.
(1) The calculation of the steel wire rope adopts the safety factor method and calculates according to the maximum static tensile force under the working
state .
Maximum tensile force;
——the loss coefficient of wire rope twisting (check the performance table of the wire rope);
n——the safety factor, which is determined according to the working level of the working mechanism (see Table 1) or use (see Table 2).
Note: For the hoisting wire rope for hoisting and transporting dangerous goods, the safety factor of the working level one level higher than the design working level should generally be selected.
