Galvanized steel wire ropes with high strength and high corrosion resistance are required to be twisted by electro-galvanized steel wires. Hot-dip galvanizing is zinc plated in a molten zinc solution of 450-480 degrees.

Under normal circumstances, the zinc layer of hot-dip galvanizing is thicker and the corrosion resistance is better. The zinc layer of electro-galvanizing is thinner and the corrosion resistance is poorer.
