Stainless steel wire rope for lifting

Special attention should be paid to the lifting position of the stainless steel wire rope for lifting during crane operations. If the lifting position is higher than the set lifting position, that is, the phenomenon of lifting over-rolling occurs, it is easy to cause the stainless steel wire rope to break, resulting in Lifting safety accident.

In the first case, when the reel of the crane winding the wire rope is ordered to start winding the wire rope, its ascending limit position limiter fails, and the crane driver makes a mistake in operation, resulting in a huge instantaneous collision force between the hook and the sky wheel. The collision force is proportional to the sum of the mass of the hoisted object and the lifting speed, and is proportional to the collision time. If the quality of the hoisted object is close to the rated load, and the lifting speed is very fast, and the collision occurs within 0.1 second, the collision force will be 10 times the rated load, which is a rather large number. In this case, the stainless steel wire rope will be broken.

In the second case, the stainless steel wire rope slips out of the drum when it is wound on the drum, causing the object to be hoisted to fall suddenly for a certain distance, forming a strong impact on the wire rope, which can easily cause the stainless steel wire rope to break. In addition, when the wire rope slips out, squeezes, clamps, or gets stuck on an acute angle point when it is wound on the drum, it will also cause a fracture accident.

Stainless steel wire ropes for lifting generally have excellent corrosion resistance, strength and tensile resistance. Therefore, under normal operating conditions and operating temperatures, the possibility of sudden breakage of stainless steel wire ropes for lifting is almost zero. However, due to the increased lifting force and impact force on the stainless steel wire rope during the lifting and lowering process, too fast sudden rise and fall will cause great damage to the steel wire rope. Therefore, Kailong reminds the operators to do slow rise and slow down drop.
